I have seen my share of bullying when I was in school, we never had the cyberbullying yet computer where not a big thin yet. I wasn’t a bully but I was the one who stood up against the bullies to protect the people they were bullying. Teacher had more control of the situation back then, but not now. The teacher talks to them, they straighten up for a few days and go right back to it. The students walk all over the teacher and the students know that, so they can harass, physically touch the other student, and with the computers, each student has their own laptop. The principle monitors their activity, but they don’t have control over the emails and that is where the cyberbully’e don’t get caught, in less the student turns it in.
The web site americanspcc.org, they give you great tips to stop bullying. 1. Become a friend to the being bullied. 2. Tell an adult, teacher, or coach if you are being bullied. 3. Help the person to get out of the situation of being bullied. 4. Set a good example and don’t bully others. and 5. Don’t give the bully an audience, standing and cheering for the bully is wrong.
Never give into the bully, take a stand and show them you are not afraid of them. Showing them your weakness only encourages them more to bully you. I don’t mean to fight back, in less it goes too far, use your words, not you fists.
